Description
Entitled "Saved" shows a beautiful, partially nude, winged woman goddess rescuing an airman who has fallen out of an airplane, and giving him a kiss. Depending on the culture and context, a kiss can express sentiments of love, passion, romance, eroticism, sexual attraction, affection, respect, greeting, friendship, peace and good luck, among many others. The study of kissing started some time in the 19th century and is called Philematology. Illustrated by Gordon Ross and published by Keppler & Schwarzmann, Puck Building, December 14, 1910.
