Description
The Temple of Hadrian at the ancient city of Ephesus dates from the 2nd century but underwent repairs in the 4th century and has been re-erected from surviving architectural fragments. Ephesus was first a Greek city, then the second largest city in the Roman Empire in the 1st Century AD. Today's archaeological site lies 3 km southwest of Selcuk, on the west coast of Anatolia, in present-day Izmir Province, Turkey. The ruins of Ephesus are a favorite tourist attraction, with easy access from Kusadasi.
