Tennis champions May Sutton and Hazel Hotchkiss leaving the court at the Ojai Tennis Tournament, after Hotchkiss won the match in 1910. Prior to that, Sutton had won Ojai seven times and won many times more after 1912. The scoreboard in the foreground lists the next match as a men's doubles final between Simpson M. Sinsabaugh and Nat B. Browne (winners) against W. L. Thacher and Maurice E. McLoughlin. May Sutton (1886-1975) was a tennis champion and the first American to win the singles title at Wimbledon. Hazel Hotchkiss Wightman (1886-1974) was an American tennis chamption who won a lifetime total of 45 U.S. titles.
