Description
Tsar Nicholas II (1868-1917), the last emperor of Russia, in 1916, with his wife Alexandra and his children Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia, and Alexei. The Romanovs became victims of the 1917 Russian revolution. Inbreeding was common among royal families, causing genetic disorders. As a granddaughter of Queen Victoria of England, Alexandra carried the gene mutation for hemophilia, which she passed on to her son.
