Haiti. A drama of the black Napoleon by William Du Bois. William DuBois (November 29, 1903 - March 16, 1997) was an American playwright, novelist and longtime editor of The NY Times Book Review. He wrote the play Haiti (1938) for the Federal Theatre Project. Toussaint L'Ouverture (May 20, 1743 - April 7, 1803) was a Haitian general who transformed a slave insurgency into a movement, the Haitian Revolution. (cropped and cleaned).
