Artist's Description

Wilbur or Orville Wright standing near the Wright Flyer, in November 1903 at Kill Devil Hill, Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, USA. This photograph was taken a month before the first ever powered flight on 17th December, 1903. The hangar and workshop pictured comprised the Wright brother's living quarters for the months of preparation that led to the first flight.
