This posterior oblique (angled view from the side and from behind) 3D CT reconstruction of the skull beautifully demonstrates the coronal, sagittal, temporal, and lambdoid sutures. The skull sutures represent the juncture of the different membranous bones forming the skull. The coronal suture is the juncture between the frontal and parietal skull bones. The temporal suture separates the parietal and temporal bones. The lamboid suture is the juncture between the parietal and occipital bones.
