Description
Birch (Betula pendula) pollen grains. The birch is a deciduous tree that is widespread in Northern Europe and is particularly striking due to its silvery-white bark. In birch trees, fertilization is carried out by wind pollination. The flight time of the pollen is from March to May. Pollen is the carrier of the male genome in plants. They can cause allergic reactions on the skin and airways. Scanning electron microscope, 32001 (when 15cm wide).
