A display of sliced honeydew melon, oranges, cantaloupe, blackberries and seedless red grapes. In terms of food (rather than botany), fruits are the sweet-tasting seed-bearing parts of plants, or occasionally sweet parts of plants which do not bear seeds. Fresh fruits are generally high in fiber, water and vitamin C. Regular consumption of fruit is generally associated with reduced risks of several diseases and functional declines associated with aging
