Description
Pollinator fig wasps (Pegoscapus sp.), mutualists found in the fruit of the strangler fig (Ficus costaricana). The figs, less than an inch in diameter, were collected from a wild fig tree in the tropical cloud forest of Monteverde, Costa Rica. The wasps emerged when the fig was cut.
