Description
Canada goose (Branta canadensis) droppings consist of undigested food such as grass and a wide variety bacteria. The geese have a relatively simple digestive tract. Every leaf they eat, passes the intestinal tract in less than two hours. One goose can produce one and one half pounds of droppings per day. Goose droppings kill vegetation and contribute to elevated bacteria levels on the ground and in the water.
