Description
Hepatica flowers (Hepatica nobilis). This is a herbaceous plant, and it is a perennial. The flowers range in color from white to a bluish pink. This is one of the first plants to bloom in the spring in Northern forests. The leaves survive the winter and look old and weathered at the time of flowering. The hepatica plant was once used to treat liver disorders.
