Description
Male Western Bluebird (Sialia mexicana). The wildflowers are called Grass Widows or Blue-Eyed Grass and are some of the earliest wildflowers found in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The peak bloom for these flowers usually occurs in early March, which coincides with the return of the bluebirds to this area.
