Description
This enhanced-color image of Mars’ Jezero Crater was taken by the Mastcam-Z instrument aboard NASA’s Perseverance rover on April 18, 2021. The hill in the foreground, named "Kodiak," is 1.4 miles (2.2 kilometers) from the rover and 820 feet (250 meters) wide. The layers of exposed rock are typical of the gradual deposition of sediments in a river delta.
