Description
Mobile logperch (Percina kathae). All logperches have a unique foraging behavior - they flip little pebbles and stones with their snouts to expose prey underneath. Logperches eat aquatic insects, young crayfishes, and aquatic roundworms. This specimen was photographed in the Finger Lakes of New York State.
