Description
View of a normal female tongue. The tongue is necessary for chewing, swallowing, and speech. It is covered with numerous tiny projections called papillae, which differ in shape, size and color. The motion of the tongue is linked to genetic heredity. This tongue has been pierced; the tongue stud is made from stainless steel metal and is held in place by a ball at the end of the stud.
