Description
Statue of Victoria, the winged Roman goddess of victory, atop the Victory Column in Berlin, Germany. The column was originally conceived after 1864 to commemorate the Prussian victory in the Danish-Prussian War. By the time it was inaugurated in 1873, it also commemorated victory in the Austro-Prussian War and Franco-Prussian War. The bronze statue, designed by Friedrich Drake, stands a little over 27 feet high
