Description
San Francisco burning after earthquake of 1906. Four square miles--520 city blocks--were on fire and fires raged for days after the quake. Around 30,000 buildings were destroyed and more than 3000 people died in this disaster. There was over $400 million (in 1906 dollars) in damage.
