Super snowstorm paralyzed Chicago. Calumet Expressway near 138th. Chicago, Illinois January 26-27, 1967. Over 35 hours on January 26 and 27, 1967, 23 inches of snow fell on Chicago, the largest single snowfall in the city's history, collapsing roofs, closing businesses and shutting down the city for days.
