WPA Federal Theatre presents Haiti, a drama of the black Napoleon, by William Du Bois. The Negro Theatre Unit was part of the Federal Theatre Project (1935-39) and had units that were set up in cities throughout the US. The Lafayette Theatre in NYC was dedicated to the Harlem community with the intention of developing unknown theatre artists. William DuBois (November 29, 1903 - March 16, 1997) was an American playwright, novelist and longtime editor of The NY Times Book Review.
