Description
Color enhanced CT scan of a the brain of a 66 year old female showing the site of a temporal lobe stroke. A stroke is the sudden onset of neurologic dysfunction as the result of a cerebrovascular event. The temporal lobes contain the hippocampus, a structure that makes new memories, as well as areas necessary for language comprehension. Seen here a left posterior temporal cerebral hemorrhage.
